Indications |
-
Ligament and fixation for acromioclavicular separation.
|
| |
|
Features |
-
Non-braided, non-woven, non-sheathed, homogeneous polyester ligament.
-
There are two types of fixations: either by a polyethylene pin (inserted by impaction), or by a screw that is tapered for easy penetration. Thanks to the blunt threads, there is no risk of fissuring the collarbone.
|
| |
|
Advantages |
-
No second surgery for material removal.
|
| |
|
Detail |
-
While grade 2 or 3 acromioclavicular separation should certainly be operated, "conventional" ligament repair techniques with acromioclavicular fixation using pins or screws are no longer used.
-
The artificial coracoclavicular ligament repair technique has proven its worth.
